Vigil Against Police Butality--LA

Hi everyone! If you're in LA on the 21st, definitely try to attend - it's about time our voices are heard.

West Coast - Los Angeles, California

On June 21, 2008, there will be a large-scale candlelight vigil and speak-out / open mic for victims of police brutality. There will be phenomenal speakers, a "know your rights" workshop on the side, and the critically acclaimed Tamil Sri Lankan-American, political theatre artist/writer and music producer, D'LO as MC. (

In particular, we will be honoring the following people who have been recently shot and killed by police-

Usman Chaudhry, a 21 year old autistic Muslim man

Michael Sungman Cho, a 25 year old UCLA alum and Korean American artist

Michael Byoune, a 19 year old African American aspiring chef

Roketi Su'e, a Samoan 46 year old terminally ill cancer patient

Please come and join us in taking a stand against police brutality.
Time: 6:30 PM
